Jelly Galinte

9 Apr 2021

There is none to be praise but our Lord Jesus Christ. I am Jelly, mother of three beautiful daughters. It is July 2020, when I started to feel pain on my stomach and it last for four nights. My
husband is on duty, he is police officer, so it’s only me and my daughters. Even though that is the case, I still continue to pray and strengthen my faith and always read the Bible. I met my 6 th doctor who requested to do the surgery because my situation gotten worse and immediate operation is needed. I consulted many doctors hoping that I can still recover through medication. But my case gotten worse that through faith (2 Cor. 5:7) my husband and I agreed that I will undergo surgery.

Two days before my surgery, there is an increase of COVID cases causing the hospital to lock down. But still I trust in Him and His words “all things work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 8:28). Because HE never leaves me now forsake me (Deuteronomy 31:6). I can’t see what God is doing but He provided hospital where I can be operated without the risk of exposure from the virus. So from Abra to Baguio God provided everything from vehicle, good driver, financial needs, God provided everything. Before the surgery, the doctor explained to me the procedures to be done and that the operation will take 10-16 hours. Before I enter the Operation Room I asked God for His presence to be with me during the surgery and I offer my life to Him. I pray and ask for second chance to live to declare His goodness and power of His love on me (Psalms 118:7).

Glory to God. I am testifying His goodness in my life. He heard my prayers; my operation took less than 3 hours only. I know that because of His grace I am still alive and praising His name. Everywhere I go, I will testify the miracle that He has done, I will testify not because it is my prayer but because my purpose is to live my life praising and glorifying His name. I believe that because of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ I am free, forgiven and healed. It is all because of His precious blood that was shed on the cross.

I believe that God answered my prayers more than I have asked (Philippians 4:19) because He provided financial needs and strength that I need through His words “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). With all my strength, mind, and heart I will trust in Him. And He was the one who healed me and He is with me especially this times that I am having my chemotherapy. Because my doctor couldn’t remove the tumor during my operation, I am having my chemotherapy

I also testify His word in John 6:6 where it says, “For I already know what I am going to do.” There are times where I had doubts and feel nervous but it is true indeed that if we focus our faith and the works of the Holy Spirit there is a miracle. Before they call I will answer, while they are still speaking I will hear (Isaiah 65:24).

God’s name be glorified for He is giving complete healing and strength. Health and protection also for my family. I cannot do this alone without prayer support of my brothers and sisters in Christ in Baguio and also here in Abra. To God be the glory, praise and honor.
